better living. is a Brooklyn-based American DIY rock band whose music blends elements of emo, shoegaze, post-hardcore, screamo, indie rock, and punk. Known for emotionally intense performances, shifting dynamics, and densely layered guitars, the group developed through the New York underground music scene, performing in basements, independent venues, and local clubs.

The band released the five-song EP lemons. in December 2019, followed by the full-length album crush in 2023. Their early recordings established a style built around melodic guitar passages, abrupt changes in tempo, and heavier post-hardcore influences.
